2 days, 3 nights in Paris

January 22, 2016, me and pogi traveled to Paris, France, enduring 14h from Sydney to Dubai, 3h layover and another 9h to Paris. Almost 1 day flying and traveling from land down under to Europe! This is our first time in Europe so it’s very memorable!

From CDG, we took Paris Blue Van, which I believed is the cheapest shuttle for 39 euros for 2 people from airport to Paris City.

First impression – from airport to 12th arrondisement (where we stayed), Paris looks like Manila – rubbish everywhere and homeless people everywhere, noisy beeping cars, and very bad traffic!

Our hotel – Le twelve is very nice small hotel in 12 arr. The room is okay, no fridge no free water and the hotel has no lift! Anyway, we did get what we paid for (363 aud for 3 nights), so I’m not complaining here hehe 😉

First day in Paris

Okay, I’m still 25 and it’s a weekend so I availed the discounted weekend ticket for youth while pogi bought the 10-ticket ones. We went straight to Eiffel tower, we also had breakfast at coffee shop nearby Eiffel tower.

From there, we took another train going to Arc de Triomphe and then walked to Champs-Elysees where we also shopped.

From Champs Elysees, we went to Louvre Museum.

Louvre is so big, half day was not enough to see everything. After getting quick snack, we headed back to hotel and called it a day. So much walking!!!

Second day in Paris

After having brekki at a brassiere near our hotel, we went to see the Notre Dame Cathedral and Seine River.

Also, on the way to Notre Dame, we saw Hotel del Ville.

From the cathedral, we made our way to Chateau de Versailles – which was a little frustrating as RER C wasn’t working that time so we have to take another route (took us hours to find the right route). Versailles is one place in Paris one should not miss – it is extremely beautiful and amazing.

The garden is sooooo huge!!!

From Versailles, we headed back to Eiffel tower. Next morning, we hopped on Thalys train to Brussels which costs around 60 aud per person.
